At Kedy.AI we value the privacy and security of the people who use our services. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the rights and choices you have. It applies to our website, our AI video tools — including AIShort clip generation, AIDubbing, AI video generation, auto subtitles and translation — and the browser-based editor (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

We aim to collect only what we need to run, secure and improve the Service, and to be transparent about how it is used. If anything here is unclear, contact us at info@kedy.ai.

1. Who we are

Kedy.AI ("Kedy.AI", "we", "us" or "our") is the controller responsible for the personal data described in this policy. For any privacy question, or to exercise the rights described in Section 9, you can reach us at info@kedy.ai. Where required by law, this address also serves as the contact point for data-protection matters.

2. Scope of this policy

This policy covers personal data processed when you visit our website, create an account, use any feature of the Service, contact our team, or otherwise interact with us. It does not apply to third-party websites, products or services that we do not control, even where we link to them (see Section 13).

3. Information we collect

When you use Kedy.AI we may collect the following categories of information, depending on how you interact with the Service:

• Account data: your name, email address and the authentication details used to sign in (such as email verification codes or single sign-on identifiers from a provider you choose).
• Content you provide: the videos, audio, images, text, subtitles and other files you upload, together with the outputs we generate for you (clips, captions, translations, dubbed audio, generated video and related metadata). We refer to this as "Your Content".
• Usage and device data: information about how you use the Service, including IP address, approximate location derived from it, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, referring pages, the pages and features you view, and the dates and times of access.
• Billing data: your plan, transaction history and the billing details needed to process payments. Card payments are handled by our payment processor — we do not store full payment card numbers on our systems.
• Communications: the messages, support requests and feedback you send us, and our correspondence with you.
• Cookies and similar technologies: identifiers and preferences stored on your device, as described in our Cookie Policy.

We collect this information to provide you with a personalized and enhanced experience and to operate the Service reliably and securely. You are not required to provide every category of data, but some features will not work without certain information (for example, you cannot save projects without an account).

4. How we collect information

• Directly from you — when you register, upload content, configure settings, subscribe to a plan or contact us.
• Automatically — through cookies, server logs and similar technologies as you use the Service.
• From third parties — such as single sign-on providers you choose to authenticate with, and our payment processor (transaction status, not full card data).

5. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and operate the Service — generating clips, subtitles, translations, dubbed audio and generated video, and saving your projects.
• Personalize and improve the Service, and develop new features.
• Communicate with you about your account, transactions, updates, security notices and, where permitted, promotions and service-related messages.
• Ensure the security, integrity and availability of our platform, and prevent fraud and abuse.
• Perform analytics to understand usage trends and preferences so we can improve the Service.
• Comply with our legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

6. Legal bases for processing

Where data-protection law (such as the EU/UK GDPR) applies, we rely on the following legal bases:

• Performance of a contract — to deliver the Service you request and manage your account.
• Legitimate interests — to secure, maintain, analyze and improve the Service, and to communicate with you, provided these interests are not overridden by your rights.
• Consent — for certain marketing and non-essential cookies; you may withdraw consent at any time.
• Legal obligation — where we must process data to comply with applicable law.

7. Your content and AI processing

Your Content is processed to deliver the features you request. To generate clips, captions, translations, dubbed audio or generated video, your uploads may be processed by our own systems and by trusted third-party AI and media infrastructure acting on our behalf, under contractual safeguards and solely to provide the Service to you. We do not sell Your Content, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles about you. You retain ownership of Your Content as described in our Terms of Service.

8. How we share and disclose information

We do not sell, trade or rent your personal information to third parties for their own marketing. We share information only in the following circumstances:

• Service providers (sub-processors): trusted vendors that help us run the Service — such as cloud hosting, storage, AI and media processing, analytics, email delivery and payment processing — who are bound by contract to protect your information and use it only to provide services to us.
• Legal and safety: where required by law, regulation, legal process or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Kedy.AI, our users or others.
• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, in which case we will continue to protect your information and notify you of any change in control of your data.
• With your direction or consent: when you ask us to share information or otherwise agree to it.

9. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Request corrections to inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
• Request deletion of your personal information.
• Object to, or request that we restrict, certain processing.
• Request data portability — a copy of your data in a portable format.
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
• Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email info@kedy.ai. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

10. International data transfers

Kedy.AI operates internationally, and your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, including by the service providers described in Section 8. Where we transfer personal data across borders, we take steps to ensure it remains protected — for example, by relying on recognized transfer mechanisms such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision where applicable.

11. Data retention

We keep personal data and Your Content for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete content or close your account, we delete or anonymize the associated personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain information to comply with legal, accounting or security obligations, to resolve disputes, or to enforce our agreements. Backups are cycled out on a rolling basis.

12. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for sign-in, security, remembering preferences (such as your language) and analytics. You can control these through your browser and, where offered, through in-product settings. See our Cookie Policy for details.

13. Third-party links and services

The Service may contain links to, or integrations with, third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party site or service before providing personal information.

14. Children's privacy

Kedy.AI is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13 (or the higher minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact info@kedy.ai.

15. Automated processing

The Service uses automated and AI-based processing to generate outputs from Your Content (for example, to rank clips, transcribe audio, translate text and synthesize voices). These processes operate on the content and settings you provide and do not make legal or similarly significant decisions about you. AI outputs may contain errors, and you are responsible for reviewing them before use.

16. Marketing communications

Where permitted, we may send you product updates and promotional messages. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in those emails or by contacting us. We will still send essential service and account-related messages, which are not promotional.

17. Data security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or loss — see our Security page for details. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

18. Kedy AI mobile application (iOS and Android)

This section describes practices specific to our mobile app, Kedy AI (app identifier ai.kedy.app), in addition to everything above. Where this section and the rest of this policy overlap, both apply.

Device permissions we request

The app asks for a permission only when a feature needs it, always through your operating system's standard prompt, and you can change or revoke these at any time in your device settings:

• Camera — to record a video (and, with your microphone, its sound) that you can turn into AI Shorts, dubs or clips.
• Microphone — to capture audio when you record a video for AI processing.
• Photo library (read) — so you can pick existing videos or photos to edit or upload.
• Photo library (save) — so we can save the videos you generate back to your camera roll.
• Screen & camera recording — for the in-app recorder, which captures your screen together with the front camera and microphone using your device's system recording (Apple ReplayKit / Android media projection).

What is processed on your device vs. on our servers

Several features run entirely on your device and do not send your media to us for that purpose — including automatic subtitle transcription (performed locally by an on-device speech model), background removal and person segmentation, face and portrait retouching, audio effects, and video export, trimming and reversing. The screen/camera recorder likewise writes its output only to your device.

Cloud AI features — such as AI Shorts, AI Dubbing, AI voice cloning, AI video generation, chapters and jumpcut — require server-side processing. For these, the media you choose is compressed on your device and uploaded over an encrypted connection to our cloud storage (hosted on Microsoft Azure) through api.kedy.ai, processed to produce the output you requested, and the result is returned to you. Voice samples you provide for voice cloning are used only to generate the dubbed audio or voice you request, and are not used to build any other profile of you.

Accounts and sign-in

You create an account with your name and email address and a one-time code we email you; where offered, you may instead sign in with a third-party provider such as Google. Your session tokens are stored only in your device's secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore).

Connecting social accounts (Planner)

If you use the Planner to schedule or publish posts, you may connect a third-party social account (for example, YouTube). With your authorization we store the access tokens needed to publish on your behalf and the scheduling details you set. You can disconnect a social account at any time, which revokes our access going forward.

No tracking, advertising or third-party analytics

The Kedy AI app contains no advertising and no third-party analytics, attribution or tracking SDKs. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, we do not use an advertising identifier (IDFA / AAID), and the app does not present an App Tracking Transparency prompt because it performs no such tracking.

Purchases

Any subscriptions or credits you buy inside the app are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play under their terms. We receive confirmation of your purchase and entitlement (for example, which plan is active) but not your full payment card number.

Deleting your account from the app

You can permanently delete your account directly in the app at Profile → Personal Info & Security → Delete Account. This removes your account and the data we hold about you on our servers, including your generation history and any unused credits, subject to the limited legal retention described in Section 11. Content you have saved to your own device (for example, local editing projects or videos you exported to your camera roll) stays on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. You can also request deletion by emailing info@kedy.ai.

19. Region-specific information

EEA / UK (GDPR): you have the rights described in Section 9, including the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. The legal bases we rely on are described in Section 6.

California (CCPA/CPRA): California residents have rights to know, access, correct and delete personal information, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact info@kedy.ai.

20. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date and, where material, we will take additional steps to notify you. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
